Eliseo Vega

Composer · Producer · Multi-Instrumentalist · New York City

For over 15 years, Eliseo has written, produced, and performed music across Classical, Jazz, Funk, Latin, Hip-Hop, and Soul, from the classrooms of NYU to recording studios in Hollywood. His work spans film, advertising, live performance, and podcasts, for clients around the world.

A graduate in Jazz and Classical theory, he won multiple grants to study the works of John Coltrane, Gil Evans, and Duke Ellington, then wrote original pieces inspired by that research, performed by his college's top jazz orchestra. He spent three years in New York leading a seven-piece band GlenCheo at venues including Mercury Lounge, Bowery Electric, and The Bitter End, while studying film scoring and working as a freelance composer and arranger.

Next Eliseo spent three years in Los Angeles scoring films, producing music for commercials, and recording session work on saxophone and guitar.

He then moved to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he kept delivering for clients remotely, led a new seven-piece band, Soul Responsibility, and premiered his symphony Change of Season with the Northern Michigan University Symphony Orchestra in 2024. After a year of traveling and working remotely from Taiwan and Japan, Eliseo is now back in New York City, ready to bring your story to life through music.
